Our 4 teenagers had an amazing dive experience with Kat. She is very helpful and friendly. The kids were overwhelmed about the see wildlife and they were very relaxed with such a professional dive instructor.

Coiba Dive Tour

Our dive trip with Coiba Dive Center was a great experience! We had a nice and small group and our guide, Ivan, did a really good job in making our dives super exciting. We saw a lot of amazing underwater wildlife.

I had great time with Coiba Dive  Center. I spent two days diving around Coiba Island on amazing dive sites. Organization and safety are very good and instructors are friendly and professional .

My daughter and I had a great day diving out at Coiba Island. We were very happy with this dive center. Good professional care. Great dive sites. We saw turtles, white tip reef sharks, eels, even frog fish, and huge schools of fish. 

Small group of 5 spent day out doing 3 dives. Saw lots of fish, sharks, turtles, etc. Kat was a great dive leader and crew was great.  Overall a great experience.

We had an amazing experience, Julie the owner is just great, everything is accurate and really organize. And our guide Ivan, just outstanding, so calm and so into the work. He knows the place, the current and how everything is good for each guest, so for me was a 10/10! Thanks for such a great two days of diving! 
Because of the season we could see mantas or whale shark not even hammer head sharks, so we definitely coming back!! jajaj! Much more to see in this amazing Coiba National Park!

We can’t recommend Coiba Dive Centre enough. Even during high season, they expertly managed divers of varying abilities while maintaining excellent safety standards and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Small groups (no more than six divers per DM) made a huge difference. Highly professional and well run.

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Coiba Dive Center and can highly recommend them to anyone planning to dive in the Coiba National Park area.

From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized and professional. The team made sure that all equipment was in excellent condition, safety briefings were thorough, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. You could really tell that the staff is experienced, passionate about diving, and genuinely cares about their guests.

A very special highlight of my experience was my dive instructor, Cat. She was absolutely amazing – incredibly knowledgeable, calm, patient, and enthusiastic. Cat took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all questions with great detail, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident in the water. Her positive energy and professionalism made the dives not only safe, but also extremely enjoyable. Thanks to her, I was able to fully relax and truly enjoy the breathtaking underwater world of Coiba.

The dives themselves were simply incredible. Coiba offers stunning marine biodiversity, and thanks to the excellent guidance and planning by the dive center, we were able to experience it in the best possible way. Everything ran smoothly, from the boat rides to the dive sites to the surface intervals.

Overall, my experience with Coiba Dive Center exceeded all expectations. If you are looking for a highly professional dive center with a fantastic team and outstanding instructors, this is the place to go. I would definitely dive with them again and recommend them without hesitation.

PADI Open Water Certification Course

Hi Sherry, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your New Year’s Eve dive did not live up to the expectations we set in November. While we always strive to reach Contreras when promised, unexpected mechanical issues forced us to prioritize safety and stay closer to Coiba. We regret that the communication regarding these changes and the subsequent refunds felt unprofessional; this is not the standard of service we aim for. We appreciate your patience during the boat transfers and will use your comments to improve our equipment maintenance and staff training."

What should have been a great day diving on NYE, was basically ruined by a rude dive shop manager Julie and very poor management that required 3 different boats to get back after diving.
In November we booked with Coiba Dive Center, first time with them (and last) although we have dived Coiba and Contreras many times with other shops. We choose Coiba Dive Center because Julie via Whatsapp confirmed in writing in November that they would take us to Contreras, whereas the other centers could not commit. Again we had a whatsapp message from Julie confirming Contreras in November. We went to the office the day before the dive and was told by Julie they would not be going to Contreras, when we inquired (politely) she got very defensive and rude even though we reminded her of her previous messages. She said they had multi day divers and and they try to do different dives - fine but that does not mean we could not dive Contreras, when I pointed out that made no sense as an argument she stated, I don't need this "shit" and walked out. When she came back I inquired about a full refund and she refused. Next day we showed up to dive and she came up and apologized and said she was having a bad day and was sorry for being a bit*h - HER words not mine. I said it was not a big deal and was looking to a good day, she then said they had arranged to go to Contreras - Great!. We got on the boat and started off then on the water had to change boats as they said the boat had an engine problem. All the tanks, bags, equipment etc had to change boats on the water. On our way the "new" boat clipped a line of another boat but we continued. The 2nd boat also started having engine problems and so they took us to the closet islands in Coiba - really did not see much on our three dives - first and 3rd dive were basically the same spot. 1st dive they dropped us where people were snorkeling. With diving finished it was time to leave, but the boat continued to have problems so they put us on a 3rd boat with snorkelers. We made it back to the shop and there was Julie again, she said she did not know about the problems until later in the day. She also said she would refund the money we paid to go to Contreras (it's extra as it's further away) We paid $40 extra to go which included $10 for the park fee, but only gave us $20 back vs. $30. Not worth arguing, while we were finishing up one of the other divers inquired about a refund and she sarcastically said she should not have refunded us as now she has to deal with others, which my Wife responded that the dive guide had mentioned to everyone on the boat that there would be refunds. She should take up any issues with him. A very disappointing experience with Coiba Dive Center. Rude employees, questionable boat safety by taking us out on a single engine boat with a known problem when we left. I believe they did this to avoid refunds. There are better dives shops in Santa Catalina - we will not dive with Coiba Dive Center again.

I had a great time diving Coiba National Park with Coiba Dive Center. Kat and her team were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start. What impressed me most, however, was Kat's professionalism and high level of diving expertise, while being engaging and fun. I felt completely safe and well-guided. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a skilled crew to dive Coiba.

I hadn’t gone scuba diving in over a year and instructor Kat did a great job guiding the dive! We saw a whale shark, tons of fishes and it was an absolute 10/10!!!

We had a great time! We did 3 dives and all the dives were amazing. We did see al lot of white tipped reef sharks, a bullshark, murene, octopus and a lot of fish :)

We had a really nice day on the boat with juli!  Really nice dives, she shows a lot and the breaks on the little coiba islands are great. Whales and dolphins on the way!

Only thing it's a long boat ride from santa catalina to Coiba 1 hour +. But I live on Bonaire and spoiled with diving from shore.
 Would love to come back in whale shark season.

Best diving in the world. The dive leaders and crew are helpful and amazing. We saw sharks everyday and Humpback whales. 

A family of 4 we had a fantastic two days diving with the Coiba team.  It was very easy to book and pay for our dives via their website.  The team were very professional.  We had no problems with the equipment or getting the right sizes etc. The dives themselves were excellent: turtles, reef sharks, bull sharks, rays, octopus, sea horse.  Just fantastic.  We all agreed this was the highlight of our week long visit to Panama.  

We completed our Advanced Open Water Diver course with this dive school and had an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was well organized, professional, and at the same time very personal and friendly.

Our instructor Kat was fantastic – patient, knowledgeable, and always made us feel safe and confident in the water. She explained everything clearly, adapted the training to our needs, and created a fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the course.

Thanks to her guidance, we not only improved our diving skills but also gained much more confidence under water. It truly was a memorable experience, and we can highly recommend this dive school to anyone looking to continue their diving journey!

Awesome family run business, fabulous diving experience and I have no hesitation in recommending Coiba Dive Center to anyone entertaining diving these world class sites. Have fun!

Julie and Damian were great hosts for our 4-day Coiba dive trip. The accommodations on Isla Bahia Honda were comfortable and the food was good. We had two dive boats for 12 people and the boats were in good condition and functioned perfectly during the trip. The runs to the various dive sites were fairly long but not too bad. The diving was good with a variety of dive sites. The water conditions were highly variable but this should be expected in the wet season. The positive for this time of year is that we saw many humpback whales on the surface and heard them on most dives. my wife saw one underwater in the distance on one dive. Thanks to Coiba Dive Center for a great trip!

3 duiken gemaakt, de trip naar coiba is langer dan we gewend zijn, maar met de snelle boot ben je er met n uur en de kans is er dat je dolfijnen of walvissen ziet. Wij hadden dat gelukt op de trip tussen de 2 duikspots. Zeer gaaf om walvissen te zien zwemmen!!  (Helaas niet tijdens de duik). De spots zijn gaaf met veel haaien en echt anders dan bijv in azie. Het team is vriendelijk en professioneel, zijn er onder water als er wat is, maar lieten ons ook vrij (hoewel advanced gecertificeers zijn onze kinderen van 13 en 15 nog best jong om zelfstandig te laten op een site).

Kat was a great instructor / guide - very clear briefing, pointed out so many interesting things - turtles, sharks, octopus and we even saw whales ! 

We had an awesome trip. Kat and the crew took us to Coiba Dive sides. Our kids (12and 14) were in good hands with Kat. We have seen so many underwater wildlife, including turtles, sharks, spotted eagle ray, puffer fish, seahorse and more

The crew took us safely back and forth, Coiba is a long trip from Santa Catalina, but worth it. Under water, Kat made.our kids feel comfortable and took.us to great dive sides.

First time diving and was really good. I plan to do some more diving in the future! Kat was a really good instructor and explained everything at my pace. I would recommend. We saw loads of marine life and it was a really good day :)

We had a good dive day.  Very good divemaster and a relatively comfortable boat. The wetsuits provided were worn out and extremely thin.  We also did a day of diving with Panama Dive Center and had a very similar experience: also a very good divemaster but their wetsuits were new and thicker, the only (minor) drawback was PCD's dive boat was a bit smaller and more cramped than Coiba Dive.  Both companies can sell out, so you should go with whichever has availability

We had a great experience with Coiba dive center. We sailed to Bahia Honda on our sailboat and they picked us up there for 3 dives. Julie was very quick to respond, friendly and great to work with. Damien was the dive master and he was probably one of the best dive masters we’ve had. He’s very knowledgeable about the area, helpful with dive gear and overall a great guy. All of the staff were incredible. The lunch was amazing! I highly recommend Coiba dive center. 

We had 3 wonderful dives with great people, staff as well as other guests. Pickup service at Bahia Honda was superb, since the anchorage fees in Coiba Parc are ridiculously high for over 50 feet boats. Prices triple from 60 to 180 dollars at 50feet boatlengt but thanks god we were offered to be picked up at Bahia Honda where it was supernice and free. Lovely people and unique surroundings! High recommendation for both-dive Center and surrounding area!

Apart from the diveshop, the village and diving area is just amazing! 

Really enjoyed the whole diving experience. From the pre dive logistics to the actual day of diving itself. Damien have a great brief prior to our dives and worked hard to find and point out marine life throughout the three dives. The boat captain and his first mate were really helpful in getting us kitted up and removing kit. The traditional lunch we had was excellent. 
We say a lot of marine life big and small and the stop offs at the islets were great.

We dove with Coiba Dive center for 2 days a total of 6 dives. The organization was great and the comraderie and the mood in the sop was very nice. Our dive Master, Aaron was amazing and took the time to make this trip unforgettable. I got to see a Whaleshark for the t¡first time and it was an experience I will never forget. And Iloved that at the end of a dive we all get a ber to remisce and exchange stories and contatc info with the rest of the group. Totally  Recommend and definitely would dive with them again.
