Coiba is celebrated for its incredible underwater world that thrives with amazing marine life. Whether diving or snorkeling, each day you will tour three exciting locations in the national park waters with our highly experienced, PADI-certified Instructors. If (as a group) you prefer an alternative to diving, on-land guided tours are also available.

Coiba Dive Center is located in the heart of Santa Catalina, Panama, just a one-hour boat ride to world class diving. Coiba National Park has been described by many as the "New Galapagos" and the "New Cocos," Isla Coiba is by far the best diving Panama has to offer.

About this trip

Our 4 teenagers had an amazing dive experience with Kat. She is very helpful and friendly. The kids were overwhelmed about the see wildlife and they were very relaxed with such a professional dive instructor. 
We had a dive with Damien and saw bull sharks. An experience to never forget.

Kat is the best dive instructor I've met over more than 30 years and 300 dives. Great experience, excellent spot. Hard to do better. I'll be back!

We had a good dive day.  Very good divemaster and a relatively comfortable boat. The wetsuits provided were worn out and extremely thin.  We also did a day of diving with Panama Dive Center and had a very similar experience: also a very good divemaster but their wetsuits were new and thicker, the only (minor) drawback was PCD's dive boat was a bit smaller and more cramped than Coiba Dive.  Both companies can sell out, so you should go with whichever has availability

We had a great experience with Coiba dive center. We sailed to Bahia Honda on our sailboat and they picked us up there for 3 dives. Julie was very quick to respond, friendly and great to work with. Damien was the dive master and he was probably one of the best dive masters we’ve had. He’s very knowledgeable about the area, helpful with dive gear and overall a great guy. All of the staff were incredible. The lunch was amazing! I highly recommend Coiba dive center. 

We had 3 wonderful dives with great people, staff as well as other guests. Pickup service at Bahia Honda was superb, since the anchorage fees in Coiba Parc are ridiculously high for over 50 feet boats. Prices triple from 60 to 180 dollars at 50feet boatlengt but thanks god we were offered to be picked up at Bahia Honda where it was supernice and free. Lovely people and unique surroundings! High recommendation for both-dive Center and surrounding area!

PADI Advanced Open Water Course

Really enjoyed the whole diving experience. From the pre dive logistics to the actual day of diving itself. Damien have a great brief prior to our dives and worked hard to find and point out marine life throughout the three dives. The boat captain and his first mate were really helpful in getting us kitted up and removing kit. The traditional lunch we had was excellent. 
We say a lot of marine life big and small and the stop offs at the islets were great.

I absolutely loved the discover scuba! We saw loads of beatiful animals and the instructor made me feel very safe. Also the lunch was delicious! Unforgettable!

PADI Discover Scuba Experience

We had a great two diving days!! The crew was amazing all time, we visit fantastics spots and we saw lots of life!We'll definetily come back! Thanks Lily and Damian! We hope to come back soon!

We dove with Coiba Dive center for 2 days a total of 6 dives. The organization was great and the comraderie and the mood in the sop was very nice. Our dive Master, Aaron was amazing and took the time to make this trip unforgettable. I got to see a Whaleshark for the t¡first time and it was an experience I will never forget. And Iloved that at the end of a dive we all get a ber to remisce and exchange stories and contatc info with the rest of the group. Totally  Recommend and definitely would dive with them again.

Lo pasamos genial. Han sido unos días increíbles en Santa Catalina y la isla Coiba. El curso de buceo nos encantó, especialmente Kat es una profesora estupenda. Tuvo mucha paciencia con nosotros y me hizo sentir muy segura durante las inmersiones. Repetiría sin duda, y elegiría Coiba Dive Center de nuevo sin pensármelo. Se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo! 

PADI Open Water Certification Course

The best dive school in Santa Catalina! I loved the professionalism. Doing the Open Water course here was a great decision—my instructor Kat was a 10/10. The atmosphere at the center and on the boat is highly recommended! 👏🏼 Also, all the marine life we discovered on Coiba Island 🔝

Super friendly dive shop and instructors! They had solid gear and made sure we were well prepared for our dives. We saw massive amounts of fish and lots of sharks, the full day trip to Coiba is a must do for divers in Panama!!

I really enjoyed diving with them, they were so professional, and took us to many great places around Coiba national park. It was a grrat experience fir me and I definitely recommend this place!
